Starting Location

To start this quest, progress the main story until the “Recalling the Score” mission. After you wake up aboard the Incognito, head toward the cargo bay near the ship’s exit. As you approach, VAL will automatically stop you and ask for your help. Agree to her request to start the quest.

Open the Lockbox for the Dematerializer

VAL will tell you about Decryption Keys, which are special items hidden all over the colony. You can use these keys to open locked boxes in the dispenser next to her.

She’ll give you your first Advanced Decryption Key right away. Use it to open the lockbox just to the left of VAL, and you’ll get a cool gadget called Auntie’s Acidic Dematerializer. It is a Gadget mainly used to disintegrate corpses to hide evidence and avoid detection.

VAL will also mention that the second lockbox has upgrade materials for her armor and blaster, but to open it, you’ll need to find four more Advanced Decryption Keys.

Gather Four Advanced Decryption Keys

These Decryption Keys can be found in different ways. You can earn them by completing tasks and quests, or sometimes buy them from certain vendors in the game.
