How to Solve the Yin Yang Puzzle
When you approach the puzzle area, you’ll notice four contraptions placed around a disc. Each contraption releases a flow of mist. Also, you have a platform that lets you rotate the entire disc in the middle. Your goal is to rotate the dials so that all streams of mist channel directly underneath the disc in the middle.
To solve the puzzle, you must align the pillars in two specific ways:
• One pair of opposite pillars should face toward each other.
• The other pair should face away from each other.
Here’s how the pillars work:
- Pillars 1 and 3 (Heaven & Earth) move independently.
- Pillars 2 and 4 (Water & Fire) are linked, and rotating one moves the other.
To solve the puzzle, start by rotating Pillars 1 and 3 so they are facing each other.
Once they’re aligned, turn the Yin Yang Dial until the two circular floor markers line up with the Heaven and Earth pillars. This temporarily frees the Fire and Water pillars to move independently.
Rotate Pillars 2 and 4 so they are facing away from each other. Once all pillars are positioned correctly puzzle will be solved.
