In Arknights Endfield, weapons start with a level cap of 20. To raise this cap, you need to tune your weapons using special materials. Kalkonyx is used to unlock weapon levels from 20 to 40, while Auronyx is required to raise the cap from 40 to 60. This guide explains where to find Kalkonyx & Auronyx in Arknights Endfield.
How Weapon Tuning Works
To increase a weapon’s level cap, open the character screen and select the weapon. If the weapon is capped at level 20 or 40, you must tune it before leveling further. Each tuning step requires specific materials.
- Level 20 to 40 requires Kalkonyx
- Level 40 to 60 requires Auronyx
Where to Find Kalkonyx
Kalkonyx are found at Rare Ore nodes. These nodes respawn slowly, usually one node per day.
Hub Area
In the main hub region, there is one Rare Ore location. It is marked by a special icon shown below. At this spot, you will find mining nodes sticking out of the ground. Breaking these nodes gives Kalkonyx.
Each full spawn provides enough Kalkonyx to tune multiple weapons. Since each weapon needs three Kalkonyx to unlock level 40, you will need twelve to upgrade four main weapons.
Valley Pass
You can find more Kalkonyx in Valley Pass:
- One Rare Ore node is near Valley Fort, inside a cave.
- Another Rare Ore node near the Quarry area
Originium Science Park
The final Kalkonyx location is in Originium Science Park, near the top of the area.
Where to Find Auronyx
Auronyx is used to unlock weapon levels from 40 to 60. Each weapon upgrade requires five Aroonx.
Originload Spring Area
Auronyx first appears in the Originload Spring region. You must progress the main story to fully access the area. Look for Rare Ore nodes as shown on the map. Some nodes also provide up to 10 Auronyx.
