Crucible Wraiths are stronger versions of normal enemies. Defeating them drops a Soul Core and unlocks that enemy’s summoning seal, which lets you summon the enemy to fight with you. In this guide, we show you step by step all Crucible Wraith locations in the Maisaka area of Nioh 3.
Crucible Wraith 1 – Water Mill
This Crucible Wraith is hidden inside a cave near the Water Mill Shrine, and you must drain the water in the area to reach it. Start by traveling to the Water Mill Shrine and look to the right side of the shrine to find a lever. Pull the lever to lower the bridge in front of you.
Cross the bridge and continue straight toward the hut ahead. When you reach the hut, move to the left and head downward to find a second lever.
Pull this lever to lower another bridge. Now, proceed to the bridge and look down; you will notice the water level slowly draining away. Once the water has fully receded, drop down from the left side of the bridge and move toward the large stone arch nearby.
Climb up onto the platform near the arch, then look to your right to spot the cave entrance. Enter the cave and defeat the Crucible Wraith waiting inside.
Crucible Wraith 2 – The Haunting Caves
Head north from The Haunting Caves Rimstone Pool and go down into the Rimstone Pool area. Climb up to the first Rimstone ledge, then turn left. Drop back down into the pool and defeat the Crucible Wraith.
Crucible Wraith 3 – The Haunting Caves
Start from The Haunting Caves Rimstone Pool Shrine and head south. Turn right and continue straight until you reach a lower platform.
Go down the platform, then take a left turn. From there, take the first right and keep moving forward. When you spot a fallen NPC on the ground, turn right once again. Continue a short distance ahead to find Crucible Wraith #3.
Crucible Wraith 4 – Enemy Base
Head west from the Maisaka Post Shrine and enter the settlement area. Continue forward until you reach the location marked on the map.
Look for a building on the right side and go inside. You will find the Crucible Wraith waiting there.
