A Gentle Touch is the 44th main mission in Crimson Desert. In this quest, the player needs to investigate a mysterious dragon head totem and look for a letter that hints at what lies ahead. This walkthrough will guide you through each objective step by step to complete the quest.
Return to Howling Hill
As the quest starts, open your map and head to the marked location at the camping hills, just south of Hernand. Once you arrive, make your way toward the shrine area where the dragon head totem is located.
Examine the dragon head totem at the shrine
Approach the dragon head statue at the shrine and interact with it. This will prompt your character to inspect the totem more closely and reveal a letter connected to it.
Check the letter from the dragon head totem
After examining the totem, open your inventory. Navigate to the Key Items document section and locate the document labeled Shakatu’s Letter. Select and open it to read it.
Read the letter
Once the letter is open, hold LB to examine it. This will trigger a short explanation of a new feature. The letter explains how you can send your comrades on missions from your camp:
- Select a region on the map.
- Press Triangle/Y to view available missions.
- Choose a mission and assign a companion to dispatch
After reading and examining the letter, the quest will be completed.
