Obsession and Madness is the 58th main mission in Crimson Desert. In this walkthrough, you’ll learn how to complete every objective step by step, from exploring the unsettling Abyss to uncovering the truth behind the rift and ultimately tracking down whoever is responsible for unleashing the rift.
Investigate the Abyss
As soon as you enter the Abyss, a short cutscene will play. You’ll see Octavius, who speaks briefly before fading away. Once the cutscene ends, you regain control of your character.
Find the one responsible for the rift
Next, the objective is to reach the building at the top of a tall pillar. Move forward to the platform ahead and stand near the edge. Jump off and use Force Palm downward three times in quick succession to build upward momentum. Once you have gained enough height, transition into a glide and aim for the first pillar. Even if you don’t land perfectly on top, you can grab onto the side of the pillar and pull yourself up.
After reaching the first pillar, repeat the same process to move forward to the second pillar. Position yourself carefully, use triple Force Palm to launch upward, and glide toward the next pillar.
Follow this method to reach the second pillar, then the main pillar, where the objective marker is located. Once you reach the top of the main pillar, step and continuously jump onto the marked area to trigger a cutscene. After the scene ends, the quest will be completed.
