If you’re trying to fully upgrade your gear to Tier 10 in Crimson Desert, you’ll need a rare material called the Aeserion’s Scale. The game doesn’t clearly explain how to get it, which can make things confusing. In this guide, I’ll show you exactly where to find Aeserion Scales and how to farm them easily so you can max out your gear.
What Are Aeserion’s Scales Used For?
Aeserion Scales are required for final gear upgrades from Tier 9 to Tier 10 at a smithy. Without these, you won’t be able to fully upgrade your equipment.

Aeserion’s Scales Location
To find Aeserion Scales, head to the Serpent Shrine in the region of Delesyia, located on the southwestern side of the map.

When you arrive, you’ll notice a giant serpent moving around the area. You do not need to fight the serpent. Just avoid getting too close to it.
How to Collect Aeserion’s Scales
Once inside the shrine area, look around for glowing silver objects scattered across the ground. These are the Serion Scales. Use your Axiom hand to grab them, then use a Cuckoo Pot to seal and collect them.

You’ll find many of these scattered across the entire shrine, not just in one spot. Keep exploring to gather as many as possible.
Important Step (Don’t Miss This)
After collecting the scales, they won’t immediately show up as usable materials.
You need to:
- Open your inventory
- Go to the Cuckoo Pot and hit the Use button.
- Select the stored scales and choose Take Out to move them into your inventory.

Once you do this, they will become usable upgrade materials.
