Pets have been one of the most requested features in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, and the good news is that they are fully available in the game. You just need to unlock a few things first. Here is a quick walkthrough of everything you need to do to get a pet in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.
Step 1: Unlock the Workshop
Before you can get pets, you need access to the Palette House/Studio Workshop. This unlocks after you help six Miis, so if you have not hit that milestone yet, focus on that first. Go to the wishing fountain and unlock the Studio Workshop.
Step 2: Use a Wish to Get Treasures
Head over to the Wishes tab and look for the Studio Workshop option. From here, you need to use a wish to obtain Treasures. This is the currency or resource that lets you create pets and other items through the Workshop, so make sure you have some before moving on.
Step 3: Create Your Pet
Once you have Treasures and access to the Studio Workshop, go into the Workshop and select New Creation.
From there, navigate to Treasures, and you will see the option to create pets listed right there alongside things like video games.
You can select an existing pet template, such as a cat or a dog, or you can go completely blank and draw your own from scratch.
Players have been making custom pets based on characters like Mario or designing their own little creatures. Once your pet is created, it will start walking around with your character.
