This article will guide the player on how to complete the main quest “Fortress Keys” where your goal is to visit three fortresses, wipe out every enemy inside, and take down each area boss to liberate the area.
This quest starts immediately once you reach the room with the transporter in the previous quest – Strange Manor. In this quest, you need to interact with the transporter to visit 3 fortresses. Defeat all the enemies in each fortress, including the area boss, to liberate the area. Once an area is liberated, you can collect the key. Interact with the transporter and press R2/RT to rotate to a particular area and then press X to teleport.
Retrieve the key from Valvegard Garrison
First, transport to the Valvegard Garrison located in the western part of the map. Clear out all enemies until the counter reaches 0% and defeat the boss “Thunder Tank”. After liberating the fortress, you can grab the key from the glowing crate.
Retrieve the key from the Aeronautical Research Base
Next, head to the Aeronautical Research Base located in the south-east part of the map. Use the transporter at the fortress or at the Strange Manor.
Clear out all enemies and defeat the boss “Storm Crusher”. After liberating the fortress, you can grab the key from the glowing crate.
Retrieve the key from Marni’s Laboratorium
Finally, proceed to Marni’s Laboratorium. Clear out all enemies and defeat the boss “Dreadnought”. After liberating the fortress, you can grab the key from the glowing crate.
