How to do Duskwood Ruins Pillars Puzzle at Alfonso Estate in Crimson Desert
Follow the steps below to solve the puzzle.
Step 1: Light the Two Fire Points
Once you arrive in the area, the first thing you will notice is that both the pedestal and the pillar are covered in vines. You need to clear them before you can do anything else. Use a Fire Arrow or channel focus light through your sword to burn the vines away.
Once the vines are cleared, walk up to the pillar and observe the hologram in front of it. This hologram demonstrates the stab mechanic, which is a core move you will need to complete the puzzle.
Understanding Mechanism
Once vines are cleared, the main puzzle becomes active. You will see a set of five pillars, one on the left and four on the right. Your goal is to make all four pillars on the right match the height of the single pillar on the left. To do this, you will be using the stab mechanic on a rotating device that has several small entry holes around it.
Using the Stab Mechanic
To perform the stab move, press your RB+Y or R1 + Triangle. This sends your character into stab mode, allowing you to drive your weapon into the entry holes on the pedestal. Each hole controls the height of specific pillars, so using the right ones in the right way is key.
Puzzle Solution
Here is how to work through each hole on the device:
First Hole
Position yourself on the left side of the pedestal, facing it directly. Go into the stab mode ( RB+Y or R1 + Triangle) and insert the sword into the first entry hole. Once your sword is inserted, start rotating the pedestal clockwise. Keep turning until the pillars (1,2,3) start to move, then pull your sword out when the pillars are raised by half the distance with the left pillar. Refer to the line where the pillar should be raised.
Second Hole
Move to the second entry hole on the right side of the pedestal and charge another stab into it. Once your sword is inserted, rotate clockwise and keep going until the pillar’s (2 & 3) height matches the left pillar. Refer to the line where the pillar should be raised.
Third Hole
For the third hole, stand in front of the pedestal while facing the pillar. Stab the sword in and rotate again. Keep turning until all the remaining pillars (1 & 4) light up blue. Once every pillar glows blue, the puzzle is complete.
When all the pillars are lit and aligned correctly, you have completed the puzzle.
