The Simms Recordings are a series of videos that Pari Simms made at some point during her four years in Cassiopeia. This article will guide the player on where to find all 10 Simm’s Recordings in the game of Directive 8020.
Simms Recording 1 – Green Tea (Ep1)
Make your way to the Monitoring Crew Room and go into the room on the left.
As soon as you are in, turn back around to face the doorway you came through.
On the left side of the door, you will spot a Monitor. Walk up and interact with it to grab the first Simm’s Recording.
Simms Recording 2 – Patches (Ep1)
Continue progressing through the story until you reach the Medical Bay. Once you are there, you will need to restore the power. Follow the objective marker and head behind the storage. Interact with the device on the wall to remove the lockdown.
After that, head back to the main hall and go upstairs.
At the top of the stairs, look for the video screen on the wall and interact with it to collect the second Simm’s Recording.
Simms Recording 3 – Red Alert (Ep2)
Simms Recording: Red Alert can be found in Episode 2: Best Laid Plans (Ship Shape). As soon as you take control of Young, follow Eisele to restore the power.
Run past the reactor control panel and head up the stairs on the right. At the top, look for the Monitor mounted on the right wall and interact with it to collect the secret.
Simms Recording 4 – Sweet Dreams (Ep2)
Head into the Locker Room and look towards the left wall as soon as you are inside. You will find a Monitor on it. Interact with it to collect the Sweet Dreams Simm’s Recording.
Simms Recording 5 – Slingshot (Ep3)
This Simms Recording is found inside the Tool Storage Room. The door will be locked when you get there, so head to the right and use your Utility Strap on the window to unlock it.
Once the door is open, head inside the Tool Storage Room and turn to the left. You will find the monitor there. Interact with it to collect the recording.
Simms Recording 6 – Special Permission (Ep3)
Use the battery to unlock the Mess lobby door and head through. Go down the stairs and turn left at the bottom. You will find the Simms Recording on the wall right next to the staircase you just came down. Interact with it to collect the recording.
Simms Recording 7 – Hostile Fire (Ep5)
While playing as Cernan, after the cutscene, you’ll receive a new objective to find the rest of the crew. At this point, turn around and head straight through a series of 2 doors, then turn left when you see “Airlock” written near the next door.
Jump over the box and look to your left to spot the Storage Room.
To get the door open, interact with the power point on the nearby wall and briefly redirect the power to the left. This will give you access to the locked door.
Head inside and you’ll find the Simms Recording on the wall.
Simms Recording 8 – Field Agent (Ep6)
At the start of the chapter, head to the door next to the Exec Room. Inside, you’ll find a monitor.
Simms Recording 9 – Rabbit Hole (Ep8)
Progress the story until you get the objective to sneak past the life form. Head downstairs and reroute the power to the locker room.
Once the power is on, go inside the locker room, and you’ll find a recording on the wall.
Simms Recording 10 – At Peace (Ep8)
Once you receive the objective “Get to the Hangar” in Episode 8: Come True (The Way Back), look at the left wall of the hallway, and you’ll spot an empty battery slot near a vent.
Keep heading straight until you find a battery slot further along the hallway, just before the stairs.
Grab the battery, then backtrack and use it to power the vent.
Climb inside and work your way through the server maze. At the other end, you’ll find a monitor. Interact with it to watch the recording.
