Out of Sight is one of the quests tied to Diego’s Casting Shadows questline in Gothic 1 Remake. In this quest, an NPC Thorus will task you to deal with Mordrag. From there, you get to choose: kill Mordrag or find a way to settle things without any bloodshed. Both paths are valid, and each one comes with its own outcome. Starting Location
To start the Out of Sight quest in Gothic 1 Remake, speak with Thorus at the entrance to the castle in the Old Camp during the daytime. Go through all of his dialogue options until he eventually asks you for a favor. Thorus wants you to get rid of Mordrag.
How to get rid of Mordrag without fighting
You don’t have to kill Mordrag to complete Out of Sight. Instead, you can convince him to leave the Old Camp peacefully.
Find Mordrag and choose the following dialogue options:
- “You have a problem.”
- “I wanted to join you guys. Could you help me?”
- “Take me to the New Camp.”
Mordrag will then escort you to the New Camp, protecting you from enemies along the way. Once you arrive, he’ll explain that things in the Old Camp have become too messy and that he has no plans to return anytime soon. This completes the quest without a fight and lets you keep Mordrag alive
Alternatively: Kill Mordrag for the Best Reward
The most brutal and most rewarding way to deal with Mordrag is to kill him and loot his body for his ring and a few other valuable items.
Do not kill him inside the Old Camp. Instead, talk to Mordrag and get him to escort you to the New Camp. Once he starts leading the way, follow him and let the hostile creatures along the road chip away at his health.
When Mordrag’s health drops significantly, use this opportunity to land a clean finishing blow from a safe distance.
