A Few Drops Too Much is one of the side quests you’ll come across while exploring the New Camp in Gothic 1 Remake. In this guide, we’ll show you exactly how to gain access to the tavern, where to find Silas, and the dialogue choices you need to progress the quest.
Starting Location
To start A Few Drops Too Much, you need to track down the Rice Lord in the New Camp. From the camp entrance, follow the path toward the rice field. Keep walking, and you’ll spot a watchtower near the Rice Field. The Rice Lord is up there, and talking to him to start the quest.
How to Enter the Tavern & Talk to Silas
Once the quest starts, your first objective is to find and speak with Silas inside the New Camp Tavern.
From the watchtower, follow the path heading south until you reach the second wooden bridge. The tavern will be on your right after the bridge. However, you can’t just walk straight in. There’s a bandit standing guard at the entrance, and he’ll only let you in if you identify yourself as a Scrapper. To do that, you’ll need to get and equip a Digger’s Dress.
To find the Digger’s Dress, don’t cross the second bridge. Instead, keep following the path and take a left just before the waterfall. Follow the linear path from there, and you’ll come across a tunnel. Go through it and keep moving until you come out the other side and reach the Free Mine.
Once you’re at the Free Mine, look for a man named Swiney hanging around near a hut. Talk to him, and he’ll hand over the Digger’s Dress you need.
With the Digger’s Dress in your inventory, equip it and make your way back to the Tavern. When you approach the entrance, tell the guard you’re a Digger. He’ll believe you and let you through without any trouble.
Head inside and find Silas standing behind the bar. Talk to him to move the quest forward.
