Crimson Desert: How to Get a Gold Bar Early and Exchange It for 500 Silver

Silver can be hard to come by during the early hours of Crimson Desert, but there is a quick way to earn a significant amount of money. This can be possible by stealing a hidden Gold Bar in Hernand City and exchanging it at the local bank to earn 500 Silver very early in the game. This guide will walk you through the entire process, from stealing Gold bars and exchanging them at the bank.

Step 1: Get a Mask

Before attempting any criminal activity, you’ll need a Mask. Head to the Back Alley Shop in Hernand City. The merchant there sells masks that allow you to perform illegal activities. You can also loot a mask by beating bandits. Next, open your inventory and equip the mask.

Step 2: Head to Lioncrest Manor

Once your mask is equipped, travel to the northwest section of Hernand City and locate Lioncrest Manor. You cannot enter the Manor directly through the door, so climb over the wall and jump down inside from the window.

From there, go downstairs to the main hall and head toward the central fireplace. During the daytime, there should be no NPCs nearby, making this theft much easier.

Step 3: Steal the Hidden Gold Bar

At the fireplace, interact with the fire and extinguish it. Once the fire is out, you’ll notice an option to open the fireplace. Inside, you will find a hidden Gold Bar.

Note: Pull out your lantern before stealing. The lantern highlights valuable objects that can be stolen, making it much easier to spot hidden loot throughout the game.

After stealing the Gold Bar, a theft meter will appear. While this meter is running, you need to avoid guards and NPCs. Once the meter completely disappears, the stolen item is considered safe, and you can leave the manor without worrying about being caught.

Step 4: Exchange the Gold Bar for 500 Silver

Inside the bank, speak with the banker on the ground floor and select the Bank option. From there, exchange your Gold Bar for 500 Silver.

This is by far the best way to sell the item, as regular merchants only pay around 190 Silver, meaning you’ll earn more than double the amount by using the bank instead.
