How to Unlock the Double Shot
To unlock the Double Shot ship weapon, you must capture Fort Dry Tortuga. Before heading there, make sure your Jackdaw has a few basic upgrades and is fully stocked with ammunition. The fort can deal heavy damage if you’re unprepared.
Fort Dry Tortuga Location
Fort Dry Tortuga is located in the northwestern corner of the Caribbean, directly north of Havana. Begin by attacking the fort from long range. Destroy its defensive cannons while staying far enough away to react to incoming fire. Once all of the cannons have been destroyed, dock at the fort and eliminate the guards inside.
Fight your way through the fort until you defeat the Commander. Capturing the fort immediately unlocks the Double Shot ship weapon.
What Does the Double Shot Do?
The Double Shot is a Front Cannon (Bow Chaser) weapon. Instead of firing a single projectile, it launches multiple round shots in a wide burst. Although it has a relatively short range and low firing arc, it deals excellent damage at close range. It becomes especially effective when combined with upgraded round shot damage and aggressive naval tactics.
