How to Get Blackbeard’s Treasure Map
You automatically receive Blackbeard’s Treasure Map during Sequence 08 – Mission 01: Do Not Go Gently. After completing the mission, Edward discovers the map hidden inside Blackbeard’s hat. Unlike standard treasure maps, this one doesn’t include coordinates, so you’ll need to interpret the drawing to locate the treasure.
Blackbeard’s Treasure Location
The map leads to Anotto Bay, located at approximately Coordinates: 590, 245.
Sail to Anotto Bay, which lies north of Kingston. As you approach, several hostile pirate ships will attack. Defeat them before docking your ship and entering the underwater smuggler’s cave.
How to Reach the Treasure
Once inside the cave, follow the tunnels until you reach a collapsed passage blocked by rubble. Pick up a nearby gunpowder barrel, place it beside the rubble, then shoot the barrel to clear the path. Continue deeper into the cave, defeating any enemies you encounter along the way.
Eventually, you’ll reach another blocked passage near a waterfall. Repeat the process by carrying another gunpowder barrel to the rubble and detonating it.
After clearing the second obstacle, a cutscene will begin where Edward finally opens Blackbeard’s Treasure Chest.
Blackbeard’s Treasure Reward
This chest contains supplies along with a heartfelt letter from Blackbeard explaining that the treasure is meant to help rebuild Great Inagua. Completing the treasure hunt also rewards you with Blackbeard’s Portrait.
