If you’re chasing the achievement that requires you to step on 1,000 Insidious Snakes, this guide can save you a lot of time and effort. The good news is that you can almost completely AFK farm this achievement once you find the right spot.
Where to Farm the Snakes
The Insidious Snakes you need are found within the Vaults of Atal’Utek, located on the new The Coiled Isle. Most of them spawn in a fairly concentrated area inside the vault, which makes farming them a lot easier than it sounds.
If you’re having trouble spotting the snakes by name, head into your settings and turn on name plates for critters and companions. This makes it much easier to identify them as they spawn in.
Location #1
There’s already a well-known farming location that a lot of players use. You’ll often see other players standing in a corner where snakes spawn constantly. But expect company, since this spot gets crowded fast.
Location #2
If you’d rather avoid the crowd, there’s another location near a bone pile that barely anyone seems to use. It’s tucked into a small corner of the map inside the vault. Refer to the location on the map.
- Head to the bone pile corner on the map
- Mount up once you arrive
- Run directly into the corner, without steering left or right
- Turn on auto run and leave it running
As snakes spawn in this corner, your mount will automatically trample them without any extra input from you. If you ever step away or take a break, just come back, run into the wall again, and let it keep working in the background.
These sports inside the vault can help you knock out the 1,000 snake stomp requirement with very little active effort. Just set it up, let it run in the background, and check back occasionally to make sure you’re still in position.
