The AUX Room puzzle in Silent Hill: Townfall can be tricky because you’ll need to work with three walls covered in red switches that can be flipped up or down. Your goal is to set all the switches to the correct positions so that the red lights turn green. This guide explains the correct switch sequence and how to solve the AUX Room puzzle.
How the AUX Room Puzzle Works
The AUX Room puzzle may look complicated at first because the room has three walls covered with red switches. However, the puzzle is actually based on a simple pattern shown in the Auxiliary Lines document.
First, look inside the cabinet in the AUX Room and collect the AUX Disk. Once you have it, take the disk to the computer in the same room and use it.

The computer will display the Auxiliary Lines document. The document contains a pattern.

Understanding the Symbols
The document uses two basic symbols:
- | Straight line: The corresponding red switch needs to be flipped up.
- _ Flat line: The corresponding red switch needs to be flipped down.
The red switches have white paint stripes on them. There are three groups:
- 1 white stripe: These switches belong to the first pattern.
- 2 white stripes: These switches belong to the second pattern.
- 3 white stripes: These switches belong to the third pattern.
When solving the puzzle, first identify the switches based on their white stripe markings. Then, look at the corresponding line in the Auxiliary Lines document to flip the up/down the switch.
Starting from the right wall near the cabinet, follow the patterns below to determine which switches need to be flipped up or down.
Auxiliary Lines #1
Up → Down → Up → Up → Down → Up → Down → Up → Up
Auxiliary Lines #2
Up → Down → Down → Down → Up → Down → Down → Up → Up
Auxiliary Lines #3
Down → Up → Up → Up → Down → Up → Down → Up
If you don’t want to follow the pattern line by line, simply refer to the image of the wall below and flip the switches to match the positions shown.
