Upgrades in Phantom Blade Zero: Important NPCs and Where to Find Them
Phantom Blade Zero has four NPCs who unlock different equipment upgrade systems. After speaking to each one, you can access their services through the Upgrade Equipment menu at any bell or fast travel point, without returning to their locations.
Here are the four NPCs you need to find:
- Forge: Found at the Outpost in Weeping Creek Valley. She handles main weapon upgrades. Refer to the location in the image.
- Jewel: Runs a shop in the cliffside area of the Village of Lu. She handles accessory upgrades.
- Myst: Owns a tavern in Pangzhen. She unlocks the Soul Temper system.
- Xie Xaorong: Found at the Green Serpent House in western Pangzhen. He handles medicine upgrades.
Weapon Upgrades: How They Work and What Materials You Need
Main weapons require specific metals and solvents for their upgrades. The required materials depend on the weapon’s classification.
