This article will guide you on how to complete all objectives of the side quest ‘A Shot in the Dark‘ for the game Flintlock The Siege of Dawn, released on 18 July 2024.
Starting Location
The quest can be initiated by speaking to the Host at the Coffee Shop in Whitebridge. He will ask you to look into the issue of people disappearing in daylight on Bohal the Butcher’s order.
A Shot in the Dark Walkthrough
Players can complete the side quest after reaching the City of Writ as part of the Main Quest Powder and Steel.
Investigate the Alley
After activating the Lodestone in the City of Writ, head north and go past the huge iron gate.
Go down the main staircase and make the first possible right turn. Continue to huff along the right, then go down the stairs again. Defeat a bunch of enemies.
Finally, activate the skull to reveal a secret path.
Follow the secret path to reach the upper area in the southwest direction, where you’ll find a large statue holding a sword.
Defeat the enemy praying in front of the statue. Then, proceed to the right side of the statue and follow the path behind the cart.
Continue following the candles until you hear a scream.
Find the source of screams
Keep following the candles to reach the source of the scream. Defeat the torturer, then speak with Gada (NPC).
Locate Pauper’s Alley
Retrace your steps back to the statue and climb up the ramp in the northwest direction to reach the rooftops of the city.
Head west along the rooftops, then carefully drop down to reach Pauper’s Alley. Note: You can reach the alley from the rooftop as there is an iron gate blocking your path if you try to reach it from the ground.
Investigate Pauper’s Alley
Defeat the enemies then, go to the end of Pauper’s Alley and investigate the area behind the box. Collect the map from the wall.
Reach the Execution Site
Speak with Jana (NPC) after collecting the map fragment. He will tell you that Bohal can be located at Hangman’s Plaza.
Start climbing up the ledge to reach the rooftop. Try to reach the rooftop above the locked gate in Pauper’s Alley. Activate the skull and drop down to the northern side where the giant statue is located.
Head to the right of the statue to find Bohal. Defeat him and speak to Jana to end the quest. You will receive the Judge’s Hammer as a reward.”
