This Step-by-Step Collectibles Guide will show you the locations of Cult Stashes Locations in Alan Wake 2 (2023). Each Cult Stash contains useful resources and items for Saga in Alan Wake 2, and finding all of them also unlocks the ‘Hidden by the Trees’ Trophy or Achievement

RETURN 1

Cult Stash #1

Follow the trailer directly south of the Murder Site to reach the Cult stash. The stash is located right outside the house and to open it look for symbols on the lock based on the hints on the note. Symbols are inside the house.

Wash your hands – bathroom sink

Take chicken out of the fridge – fridge

Take a nap – bed

The final combination to open the lock is shown below.

Cult Stash #2

Available after defeating Nightingale Boss

Press the 3 buttons that blink on the keypad in random order.

Cult Stash #3

You’ll find the Alan Wake 2 streamside stash near a table and some camping gear as shown on the map.

To unlock the lock, you must first find the key for the stash. Shine your flashlight around the area, and as you do, keep an eye out for some yellow arrows that will glow in the light of your torch. Follow these yellow arrows, and they will lead you to a specific place where you can discover the key for the stash by the streamside.

Take that back and use it to open the box. I’ve marked both locations on the map.

Cult Stash #4

This Cult Stash #4 is located behind the Private Cabin as shown in the map.

When you shine your flashlight on certain things, the numbers will light up: The note on the stash says the code is Rock-Rock-Tree

Another rock is closer to the crate (3+3).

One rock is far from you (7-2).

Then there’s the tree (6+2).

Shine your flashlight on the rock that is closer to the crate. The code to unlock the stash is = 6-5-8.

Cult stash #5

The Crossbow in Saga’s tale can be discovered during Return 3, right after your initial meeting with the “Axe-Throwing” Taken. And it’s located in the small and run-down town of Watery. You can find the crossbow in Watery, right next to the shooting range. The code to unlock the crate is 5-2-7

Cult stash #6

This stash is sitting on a ridge on the eastern of this area. Click the buttons as they flash on the key pad.

Cult stash #7

The Cult Stash is located beside a Ferris Wheel with coffee cup decorations. There’s a note on the Stash that gives clues on how to solve the puzzle. In this case, the clue is a circular arrow and the words “ONLY STRIPED CUPS.”

This means you should only pay attention to the blue and white striped cups on the Ferris Wheel, and each of these cups has a number.

Imagine the wheel is like a clock. The first striped cup is like the number 1 on the clock, and the other striped cups are spaced three spaces apart, like numbers 4 and 7. If you go in a clockwise direction, the combination for the puzzle is 147.

Cult stash #8

you can find a Cult Stash close to the Huotari Well and along the path to the Espresso Express. On top of the Cult Stash, there’s a note with the clue “What’s hidden behind the smile?” to help you find the key.

The hint “behind the smile” refers to the happy coffee pot that is the mascot of Coffee World. You can spot this mascot all around Coffee World, mostly on signs. The big coffee pot sculpture near the gazebo is the one with the cheerful smile.

Cult stash #9

Stash is available in the southern part of Lighthouse Trailer Park after defeating Mulligan & Thornton.

Key location

Trailer Park Stash Key can be found on top of the light pole behind it. Walk up the plank to grab it.

Cult stash #10

It is located northwest of the lighthouse. The lock combination can be found by looking at the symbols painted I, II & III for the 2nd and 3rd symbols.

Cult stash #11

Shash is on the southeastern wharf, the code is 496. You can solve the algebra question for the solution.

CULT STASH #12

The cult stash can be found in the northern area of Bunker Woods. To unlock the stash, press the button in the same order as the keypad blinks.

CULT STASH #13

The stash is on the back of a truck, with the code being 177. You have to solve a math problem to find the answer.

CULT STASH #14

You’ll discover a stash and a key among the trees between the two paths going west from the Nursing Home. Use the bolt cutters on the gate to the west of the Nursing Home to access them.

CULT STASH #15

Cult Stash 15 is a bit to the north of the main path. You can find the code on the rocks by just following the arrows

CULT STASH #16

Go outside the Ranger Station to the chimney, and you’ll see the Ranger Station Stash Key on the ground next to it.

Pick it up and use it to open the cult stash located on a hill to the west of the Ranger Station.

CULT STASH #17

Stash is near a white van in Elderwood Palace Lodge.

CULT STASH #18

Head to the wharf that’s to the south of the Sheriff Station and use the bolt cutters to open the gate. Inside the shed, you’ll discover the stash, and the code to unlock it is 697.

To find the code look around the wharf for code on the wooden pillars.

CULT STASH #19

You will find the code inside the park which is west of “Oh Deer Diner”. Look for three yellow symbols inside the park.

The Cult Stash can be found inside the fenced area next to the diner and behind the station. You can get in using the bolt cutters.

CULT STASH #20

Head to the Kalevala Knights Workshop to find the Stash on the back side near a shutter gate, the code is 542.

CULT STASH 21

Go north, and you’ll come across some trees with numbers painted on them. Look behind the tree with the number 2 to discover a Lake Cabins Stash Key on the ground.
