Once the fire is lit, sit beside him and play your shamisen as he shares his story. The ronin will reward you with a new shamisen song.

To get this song, Player needs to complete Side Tale: The Soul of an Instrument in Tokachi Range at Ainu Musician’s Camp & Side Tale: A Melody of Thoughts in Nayoro Wilds at Cukpet Hills Campsite.

Speak with Ainu at the Musician’s Camp in Tokachi Range. You will find him south of Yubari Lake.

He will ask you to find a smooth stone from a mountain pool.

Next, meet Ainu at Cukpet Hills Campsite in Nayoro Wilds and play shamisen along with Ainu to get Song 5 – Song of the Ainu

Song 6 – Song of Spirit

You need to complete Sensei Tale: Master of the Shamisen in Yotei Grasslands to learn the song.

Song 7 – Song of the Wolf

Find any four Wolf Dens to unlock this song. After finishing your fourth Wolf Den, your character will automatically sit down to learn the song.

Song 8 – Song of Shrines

This song can be learned from a wandering musician who appears randomly while you’re camping. To try your luck, hold the camp button near your horse to set up a campfire. Occasionally, travelers and NPCs will visit your camp, and one of them is the man who teaches you this special shamisen song.

He is most likely to appear while camping in the Ishikari Plain region, though his appearance seems completely random and can happen in any area. To increase your chances, complete a few side quests, then continue setting up camp repeatedly until the musician shows up.
