Camouflage is one of the core mechanics in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, letting Snake adapt to his surroundings and outsmart enemies in the field. In this article, we’ve compiled a comprehensive list of all camouflage uniforms and face paints, along with details on where to find them and how to unlock each one.
1. Uniform – Raindrop: Dolinovodno (2nd Visit)
After crossing the bridge, follow the path around to the left. Go around the rock and go down the slope to reach the area underneath the bridge. You’ll find it on a small ledge on the cliff wall.
2. Face Paint – Zombie: Rassvet (2nd Visit)
Around the back of the ruined building, behind some barrels. Refer to the map.
3. Uniform – Ga-Ko: Chyornyj Prud
It’s in the water on the right side of the lake. Refer to your map to find the exact spot.
4. Uniform – Splitter (Ponizovje South)
After you go past the second electric fence, turn right. You will see a swampy area. Go to the right side and climb up the ledge. Follow the ledge to find it.
5. Uniform – Choco Chip (Bolshaya Past)
Cross the third fence and look for Camo (Choco Chip) inside a hollow tree stump on the left side.
6. Face Paint – Snow (Bolshaya Past Base)
Look in the trenches on the west side. You’ll find it under a wooden board.
7. Uniform – Water (Bolshaya Past Base)
It’s on the rooftop of the building. To get there, find the ladder on the south side of the building.
8. Uniform – Animals (Chyornaya Peschera Cave Branch)
At the start of the area, you’ll see this box in front of you. It’s your reward for defeating Ocelot by draining his stamina. Use thermal goggles to spot it more easily.
9. Uniform – Snow (Chyornaya Peschera Cave)
From the start of this new area, take the right path to reach Weapon (M37).
Crawl through the space behind Weapon (M37), and you’ll find the Camo (Snow) right after you exit the crawl space.
10. Uniform – Hornet Stripe (Chyornaya Peschera Cave)
This is awarded for defeating The Pain by depleting his stamina. You will find it on the platform where The Pain, the boss, was standing.
11. Face Paint – Desert (Ponizovje Warehouse)
It is behind the crate near the red door on the F1 (1st floor) level.
12. Face Paint – Oyama (Graniny Gorki Lab 1F)
Go to the left side of the main building and find an opening in the wall near the grass. Crawl inside, then turn left to find it.
13. Uniform – Fly (Graniny Gorki Lab 2F)
Go back to the stairs and head up to the third floor. Follow the corridor straight ahead.
At the end, enter the second door on the right to go into the bathroom. Punch the door of the third stall to break it. You’ll find the item inside.
14. Uniform – Spider (Graniny Gorki South)
To find this, return to the starting area. Defeat the boss and get this as an award for defeating The Fear by depleting his stamina.
15. Face Paint – Infinity (Graniny Gorki)
Head to the start of the area and backtrack toward the Ponizovje Warehouse. You’ll find a few patches of grass just before the warehouse. Place your mousetrap there and check it later to see if you’ve caught a mouse. It might take several tries.
16. Face Paint – Water (Ponizovje South )
Backtrack from the Ponizovje Warehouse and cross the river to get to the beginning of the Ponizovje area. The Camo (Water) appears in the shallow water here. You can refer to your map for the exact location
Use your Thermal Goggles to scan the water and spot it. Be sure to grab it before you move on, as it’s only available at this point in the story.
Note: If you’ve entered the cave, you’ve gone too far.
17. Uniform – Moss (Sokrovenno South)
To get this camo, you need to sneak up behind The End. Walk very quietly so he doesn’t hear you. When you are really close, point your gun at his back. He will lie down on the ground. Keep your gun aimed at him until he gives you the Moss Camo.
18. Uniform – Fire
This is awarded for defeating The Fury by depleting his stamina.
19. Uniform – Spirit
During the boss fight with The Sorrow, don’t fight him. Instead, keep walking all the way down the river until you hit a body in the water. Go near the corpse, which will cause you to “die.”
Note: If you reach the end of the river only, the game will reward you with the Spirit Camo automatically.
When the orange Continue screen appears, use the Revival Pill. This will trigger a cutscene where Snake wakes up in a forest.
From there, go behind the waterfall to meet EVA and get your gear back.
20. Face Paint – Kabuki (Tikhogornyj)
It is in the water just below the waterfall and Ga-Ko.
21-22. Uniforms – “Maintenance” and “Sneaking Suit” (Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: East Wing)
Camo (Maintenance)
Return to the room on the second floor where you dragged Raikov into the locker. The Maintenance Suit is in the second locker on the left, closest to the door.
Camo (Sneaking Suit)
It’s in the same locker room. Check the second-to-last locker on the right to get the suit.
23. Uniform – Cold War
The Cold War Uniform is unlocked as a reward for defeating Volgin by depleting his stamina instead of his health. Once you’ve won the battle, make sure to pick it up immediately before the cutscene starts, or you’ll miss your chance to collect it.
24. Uniform – Snake
The Snake Uniform is earned by defeating The Boss through stamina depletion rather than reducing her health. After the battle ends, be sure to pick it up right away before the cutscene begins, otherwise you’ll lose the chance to collect it.
