Crests are special items that let Hornet change her attacks and tools, giving you new ways to fight and explore in Hollow Knight: Silksong. Each Crest has a unique style and slots, some with colored slots that change which tools you can equip. This guide will show you every Crest location and explain what each one does, so you don’t miss any in the game Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Hunter Crest
The Hunter Crest is the first crest you get in Hollow Knight: Silksong. You start the game with it already equipped. Later on, you can upgrade it by visiting Eva in the Weavenest Alta.
Reaper Crest
Go to the west side of Greymoor and keep moving left until you reach the Chapel of the Reaper. Inside, make your way up through the rooms.
After beating the enemy in the area, head to the highest room of the chapel. There, you’ll find the corpse. Interact with it to claim the Reaper Crest.
Wanderer Crest
To get the Crest, take the elevator from Bone Bottom to Wormways and use the Simple Key to unlock the door.
After unlocking the door, continue exploring by heading left and descending into Bonegrave. From there, move further down until you reach the Chapel of the Wanderer, where the Crest is waiting for you.
Beast Crest
First, gain entry to the Hunter’s March region from the rightmost edge of The Marrow. Once inside, keep moving to the far right side of Hunter’s March until you find the Chapel of the Beast.
Enter the chapel and prepare to battle the Savage Beastfly boss. Defeat it, then head into the room behind the beast and interact with its carcass to claim your reward.
Architect Crest
First, purchase the Architect’s Key for 110 Rosaries from the Twelfth Architect vendor NPC.
Once you have the key, head to the right to leave the room. From there, use the key to unlock the Chapel of the Architect, which is located at the top-left exit of the room.
Shaman Crest
You can only obtain this Crest during Act 3 and need the Silksoar ability. Progress through the chapter until you meet the Snail Shamans at Ruined Chapel in Moss Grotto. Then, go to the far-right corner of the room. Use your Silksoar to reach the top. Go to the bottom to claim the crest.
Witch Crest
This Witch Crest is your reward once Hornet has been fully cured by a surgeon named Yarnaby and is available northwest corner of Greymoor after you complete the Twisted Bud quest line.
