Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: All Safe Codes
This guide shows the location of all the safes and how to get the safe codes in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, which released on 21st October 2022. There is a total of 3 safes in the game. Opening all three saves unlocks the Gentleman Thief Trophy and achievement.
1) El Sin Nombre Safe Code
During the campaign mission “El Sin Nombre”, after the interrogation, you can free-roam the mansion. The safe is in this mansion on the second floor in Diego’s room. There are multiple ways to reach Diego’s room. I will show you the easiest way to reach there without much of an issue.
After you gain control, go all the way to the backyard through the door at the back. Once you are in the backyard, climb up on the balcony shown in the picture below. This will take you to the second floor. Then proceed ahead to the hallway. In the hallway, go right to the end. Then turn left and take out the enemy patrolling there. Then proceed ahead to the end and then turn right to reach Diego’s room.
Inside Diego’s room, open the wardrobe as shown in the picture below to find the safe. The safe code is Lazar Salgado’s birthday, which is written on his painting as shown in the pictures below. Input the code 02-02-19 to open the safe and get a SHotgun and some Armor.
2) Alone: Cafe Safe Code
In the campaign mission “Alone”, you will come to a cafe while doing the objective “Meet Ghost at the Church”. In this cafe, you will find a door at the corner as shown in the picture below. Pry open the door to go inside and you will find a small office, with a safe in the corner as shown in the second picture below.
On the left side of the safe, you can see a calendar as shown in the picture below. On the calendar, the date of 10th October is circled as the 40th birthday of a person. You can try the birthday as the safe password. Since it is their 40th birthday and the year on the calendar is 2020, that means their birth year is 1980. So, the birthday of the person is 10th October 1980. Input the code 10-10-80 to open the safe. Inside the safe, you will find a pistol and a throwing knife.
3) Alone: Mechanic Shop Safe Code
Just after the previous safe, drop down to the room below. Then turn left and go through the door straight ahead to reach El Maistro mechanic shop.
Near the middle of the mechanic shop, you will find the code 376080 on the laptop as shown in the picture below. On the right side of the laptop, you will find a small printer room, with the safe kept in the corner as shown in the second picture below. Enter the code 376080 to open the safe and get a throwing knife and a crossbow.
