The Tattered Map is one of the unique collectible treasure maps in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. Unlike other map fragments that are earned through Fleet missions or warehouse raids, the Tattered Map Pieces can only be obtained by hunting down powerful Pirate Hunter ships. In this guide, we’ll explain how to get every Tattered Map Piece and complete the treasure hunt.
How to get Tattered Map Pieces
The Tattered Map Pieces come from Pirate Hunter ships, which start hunting you once your Wanted Level hits Level 3 or 4. Only Frigates and Man-of-War ships have a chance of rewarding a piece of Tattered Map. First, keep attacking enemy vessels until your Wanted Level climbs to Level 3 or 4. Once a Frigate or Man-of-War appears, fight it, but don’t sink it. Instead, deal enough damage to disable it so you can board it.
Sail your ship to the disabled ship and board it. Fight through the crew until they surrender.
At the end, make sure you pick the Captain’s Lockbox reward rather than any of the other options, since that’s what contains the Tattered Map Piece. Keep doing this process until you get all three Tattered Map Pieces.
Once you have every fragment, head to the Treasure Dealer in Great Inagua to restore them into the complete Tattered Map. This reveals the location of the hidden treasure in Florida.
Florida Treasure Location
After you’ve restored the map, head to Florida around the coordinates 381,803.
Make your way to the far northern section of the island and look for a skeleton leaning against some ship wreckage, surrounded by palm trees. You will find a dig spot just below the Plam trees. Inside, you’ll find the Elite Wheel, Sleek Crew Attire, and Gilt-Lined Sails.
