FF7 Rebirth: All Swords and Weapons Locations

This guide shows the locations of all weapons in the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which released on 29th February 2024. There are a total of 49 weapons in the game. Collecting them unlocks the Well-Rounded trophy.

1-5) Starter Weapons

6) Chapter 2: Sleek Saber (Cloud)

Objective: Abandoned Dock
Area: Abandoned Dock

Open the chest in the abandoned dock as shown in the pictures below to get the weapon.

7) Chapter 2: Timeless Rod (Aerith)

Objective: Shopkeeper Chloe
Area: Bill’s Ranch

Open the purple chest next to Shopkeeper Chloe to get the weapon.

8) Chapter 2: Hi-Caliber Rifle (Barret)

Objective: Through the Swamplands
Area: Swamp area

Open the purple chest in the swampland as shown in the pictures below to get the weapon.

9) Chapter 3: Sylph Gloves (Tifa)

Objective: Where They Lead
Area: Tunnel No. 1

Go down the ladder to find a purple chest in the corner as shown in the pictures below. Open it to get the gloves.

10) Chapter 3: Renegade’s Collar (Red XIII)

Objective: Escape the Depths
Area: Subterranean Terrace

When you start playing as Barret, you will see a purple chest right in front of you. Open it to get the weapon.

11) Chapter 4: Empress’s Scepter (Aerith)

Objective: Respite
Area: Inn

12) Chapter 4: Rune Blade (Cloud)

Objective: Hue and Cry
Area: Starboard

After you gain back control of Cloud, you will see a purple chest right in the front as shown in the pictures below. Open it to get the weapon.

13) Chapter 5: Kaiser Knuckles (Tifa)

Objective: In His Footsteps
Area: 1st Freight Room

Open the purple chest in the 1st Freight Room in the cargo hold to get the weapon.

14) Chapter 6: Silver Collar (Red XIII)

Objective: Run Wild
Area: Costa Del Sol

Come first in the Run Wild mini game.

15-16) Chapter 7: Yuffie Starting Weapons

– Point Shuriken (Yuffie)
– Savage Dagger (Yuffie)

17) Chapter 7: Wizard’s Rod (Aerith)

Objective: Split Up
Area: Ascent

You will find it when you are walking with Aerith at the location shown in the pictures below.

18) Chapter 7: Twin Viper (Yuffie)

Objective: Reach the Control Panel
Area: Preparation Plant 1F

Open the chest next to the generator switch to get the weapon.

19) Chapter 7: Barrage Blaster (Barret)

Objective: Continue Your Search
Area: Railway Control

20) Chapter 7: Amethyst Collar (Red XIII)

Side Quest: Of Robed Men and Ransoms
Area: Old South Corel Mine

Start the “Of Robed Men and Ransoms” side quest to unlock Old South Corel Mine. Enter the mine and turn right to find a purple chest. Open it to get the weapon.

21) Chapter 8: Umbral Blade (Cloud)

Objective: Meeting Your Mount
Area: Solemnitude Manor 1F

Go down the stairs in the prison as shown in the picture below to find the purple chest containing the weapon.

22) Chapter 8: Dragon Claws (Tifa)

Mini Game: Desert Rush
Area: Solemnitude Manor 1F

Score 42000 points to get the weapon as a reward.

23) Chapter 8: Vulcan Cannon (Barret)

Objective: Prisoner
Area: Scrapyard

24-25) Chapter 9: Cait Sith Starting Weapons

26) Chapter 9: Bird of Prey (Yuffie)

Open the purple chest inside the Inn as shown in the pictures below to get the weapon.

27) Chapter 9: Crystal Sword (Cloud)

Objective: The Shadows Beckon
Area: Gongaga Reactor

28) Chapter 9: Golden Collar (Red XIII)

Area: Coolant Control Room

Side Quest: The Pursuit of Perfection

You get it as a reward for completing The Pursuit of Perfection side quest, which you get from the weaponsmith at Izo’s Smithery.

31) Chapter 10: Crescent Sickle (Yuffie)

Side Quest: Bonds of Trust
Area: Kamaria’s ranch

Start the Bonds of Trust side quest to play Glide de Chocobo Training Course No. 1 Mini Game. Score 3600 points in the Mini Game to get the weapon as reward.

32) Chapter 10: Red Megaphone (Cait Sith)

Objective: Welcome Back, Nanaki
Area: Wind Grotto

Purchase from Tiger Lily Armaments for 5000.

33) Chapter 10: Crystal Megaphone (Cait Sith)

Objective: Higher Learning
Area: Cosmo Observatory

Enter the storeroom as shown in the pictures below and go to the bottom floor. Open the purple chest there to get the weapon.

34) Chapter 10: Mystic Collar (Red XIII)

Objective: The First Trial
Area: Cave of the Gi

Climb up the wall as shown in the pictures below and pick up the artifact. Give it to Bugenhagen to get the collar.

35) Chapter 10: Calamitous Bazooka (Barret)

Objective: To Thine Own Self Be True
Area: Gate of Anger (Cave of Gi)

Open the purple chest as shown in the pictures below to get the weapon.

36) Chapter 10: Ceremonial Staff (Aerith)

Objective: An Unquenchable Thirst
Area: Outcasts’ Shore (Village of the Gi)

37) Chapter 11: Resounding Megaphone (Cait Sith)

Objective: A Village Changed
Area: General Store at Water Tower Square

Purchase from the General Store for 7500 Gils.

38) Chapter 11: Crystal Gloves (Tifa)

Objective: To the Reactor
Area: Garm Pass

39) Chapter 11: Igneous Saber (Cloud)

Objective: To the Reactor
Area: Northern Ridge 160 m

40) Chapter 11: Golden Megaphone (Cait Sith)

Objective: Buds Behind Bars
Area: Mako Research Facility – Section W

Throw a box on the switch to open the gate as shown in the pictures below. Open the chest behind the gate to get the weapon.

41) Chapter 11: Gjallarhorn (Cait Sith)

Hand over 45 Tufts to the Chocograss Collector and get the weapon as a reward.

42) Chapter 12: Plumose Rod (Aerith)

Side Quest: Lament of the Damned
Area: Shinra Manor

Complete the Side Quest “Lament of the Damned” and complete all the combat simulator missions in the Shinra Manor. After that, open the chest in the secret room to get the weapon as shown in the pictures below.
