This guide covers the Investigate the Camp objective in Ambrus’s Dungeon: Evil and Convenience in The Blood of Dawnwalker. Follow the steps below to find the camp and investigate it to progress through the quest.
The camp you need to investigate is located in Briar Sloughs, just north of Borescu Commons. Check the map to find the exact location of the camp.
Once you arrive, enter the camp and defeat the guards before you start searching the area. After dealing with them, activate Focus Mode to look for important clues and items. You’ll find a guard carrying a letter called Directives from Ambrus. Loot the guard to collect it.
Next, head to the shed on the southern side of the camp. Enter the shed and look for a table inside. You’ll find a Brass key on the table. Coen will also discover a reprimand letter on the table from an upset Ambrus.
After that, make your way to the shed on the northern side of the camp. Enter the building, and you’ll find the Chief Jailor inside. Speak with him, and he will offer you everything he has if you spare him.
You now have two choices: kill the Chief Jailor or spare him. However, both choices lead to the same main outcome, as you’ll receive the Treasure Map.
- Kill the Chief Jailor: Loot his body to obtain the Treasure Map: Hidden Stash.
- Spare the Chief Jailor: He gives you the Treasure Map: Hidden Stash before walking away.
Finding the Hidden Treasure
Once you have the treasure map, leave the camp and travel just a few meters north toward the location shown on the map. Look for a fallen tree in the area. Approach the fallen tree and activate Focus Mode to reveal a chest nearby.
Open the chest to collect the hidden treasure. Inside, you’ll find an amulet, some money, and a letter from Bakir.
