In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to complete all the objectives of the side quest ‘Ascent in the Howling Tower’ in The Outer Worlds 2.

Starting Location
Right after finishing the Above and Beyond Repair quest in The Outer Worlds 2, Officer Kaur will assign you the quest – Ascent in the Howling Tower. In this side quest, you’ll travel to Skycutter A102, located in the northern region of Paradise Island. This guide covers everything step-by-step on how to complete the quest in The Outer Worlds 2.
Head to Skycutter A102
Travel to Skycutter A102, located in the northern part of the island. You can choose to reach the area by passing through the Zyranium-contaminated path to the west or by passing through the Bridge of the Reverent, which includes a fight.
Ascend to the Top of the Tower
After entering Skycutter A102, head down to the basement and loot the corpse in the corner to find the Skycutter Entrance Key.
Then, use the key to unlock the entrance door and proceed further inside.
Jump through the broken glass window to enter the next hall and reach the elevator in the middle of the hall.
Now, go past the elevator and climb up the staircase leading towards Deck 2.
After that, climb the yellow ladder to reach the mid-level area between Deck 2 and Deck 3.
Climb up either the stairs to get to Deck 3. Use the ladder on the northwest side of the deck to reach Deck 4.
Climb over the crates and walk along the catwalk, then turn right and jump to get to Deck 5.
On Deck 5, go past the elevator and go up the stairs. At the top, you’ll see a ladder that takes you to Deck 6.
When you reach Deck 6, go to the elevator and pick up the Skycutter Lift Override Key from the corpse. Use the key on the terminal to the left to restart the lift. Then, fight off the waves of enemies until the lift arrives, and finally take it up to the terrace.
Once outside, turn left and pick up the Control Panel Schematics from the corpse on the floor.
Next, head to the end of the terrace, interact with the Control Panel, and send a Power Surge to the Vox Relay.
After that, return to Fairfield and talk to Kaur to report your progress. This will complete the quest, rewarding you with 1080 XP, 933 Bits, and the Kaur’s Korroder armor.
