Astarion Ascension
If you choose to help Astarion in his ritual then select dialogue #1 “Enter Astarion’s mind so he can proceed with the ritual“.
He will inscribe runic symbols onto Cazador’s back, transforming him into one of the conduits. In the midst of the cutscene, you’re prompted to choose whether to permit the ritual’s completion or intervene to halt it permanently.
If you select to proceed with the ritual then all conduits who are enslaved will violently burst. Astarion will attain the status of a Vampire Ascendant, gaining new abilities like Ascendant Bite and Gaseous Form.
Refuse to help Astarion
If you choose not to help Astarion with the ritual, use the conversation option to inform Astarion that carrying out the ritual will result in the deaths of thousands. Select dialogue #4 – I’m not doing this.
Then, pass the Persuasion tests. “I know you think this will set you free, but it won’t.“
Astarion will totally understand you at this moment. He’ll start to stab Cazador repeatedly in order to liberate the other spawn, giving them a shot at redemption. Cazador’s staff will be left on the ground. He will leave your party and leave the prisoners to die.
Release Prisoners
If you want to release the prisoners then Select dialogue #2 or #3
If you choose to release prisoners then Astarion will still try to convince you to help him with the ritual to gain power. Then, succeed in the Persuasion checks “I know you think this will set you free, but it won’t.“
Astarion will totally understand you at this moment. He’ll start to stab Cazador repeatedly in order to liberate the other spawn, giving them a shot at redemption. Cazador’s staff will be left on the ground, and you will have the option of deciding what to do with the Prisoners.
Select dialogue: Let’s release them. They deserve the same chance you..
Astarion will also agree and release the prisoners.
Kill Prisoners
If you want to release the prisoners then Select dialogue – They’re too dangerous – they need to die.
Astarion will kill all the prisoners
