To fix the button that doesn’t work in the Arcane Tower in BG3 or Baldur’s Gate 3, you will need a special item. It’s not that the button is faulty; you just lack the essential components to activate it. To use the button, proceed all the way down to the map’s southernmost tip, south of the Sussur Tree waypoint.
There you will find a tombstone. Dig it to acquire a mystical dog collar. Return to the button and equip it.
