Unlock Elton Trench Underwater Cave
The underwater cave known as the Elton Trench is inaccessible through a direct route due to a large wall of rock barrier. But, the method to access it lies beside the lake situated to the left of Elton Trench. Head to the nearest Teleport Waypoint to go to the lake.
In order to access Elton Trench, you need to collect three Water Volume Detection Crystals located along the lake’s shoreline.
The first Water Volume Detection Crystal is located near some enemies. Defeat them all and then interact with the Water Volume Detection Crystal to move it to the chest in the middle of the lake.
The second Water Volume Detection Crystal is inside a golden statue near the lake. Destroy it to reveal the Water Volume Detection Crystal. Use the Transoceanic Chunk to move it to the center of the lake.
The third Water Volume Detection Crystal lies buried underneath thorns. Employ a fire character to destroy the thorns to free the crystal. Use the Transoceanic Chunk to move it to the middle of the lake.
Now, proceed to the center of the lake, where three crystals encircle a chest. Collect the Transoceanic Chunk floating on top of the rock to create a Hydro Ring, then stand in the center of the three crystals.
This will open the chest and change you into a ball of Hydro that will fly toward the secret underwater cave entrance and you can break through.
Located and Defeat Iron Viscount Boss
Once you reach the newly found underground cave in Genshin Impact, you must extinguish three fires by placing Hydro Cores in neighboring sockets. This will activate a Hydro Totem.
Hit the Hydro Totem with a Hydo character to flood the area. The Iron Viscount will spawn once the area has been flooded.
After overcoming the Iron Viscount, head further deeper into the cave and exit the cave.
Interact with the triangular mirror and then with the blue prism mechanism to cool down the lake water. Now you can glide to the middle of the lake and dive into the water to collect the chest.
