This guide shows the location of all Awaken Wine Worms in Black Myth: Wukong, released on 20 August 2024. There are a total of 12 Awaken Wine Worms to find in the game.

1) Chapter 1: Black Wind Cave – Cave Interior
Go through the door next to the Black Wind Cave: Cave Interior shrine. Then go left and break the green container as shown in the picture below to get an Awaken Wine Worm.
2,3,4) Chapter 1: Bamboo Grove: Marsh of White Mist (From Shen Monkey)
One Awaken Wine Worm can be purchased from Shen Monkey after reaching Chapters 3,4, and 5 each. You will find Shen Monkey near the Bamboo Grove: Marsh of White Mist shrine in Chapter 1. Go down the stairs near the shrine and enter the cave on the right side. You will find Shen Monkey inside the cave. Talk to him and you will get the option to purchase an Awaken Wine Worm from him.
5) Chapter 2: Sandgate Village – Valley of Despair
Enter the cave near Sandgate Village: Valley of Despair shrine. Continue straight in the direction shown in the picture below. Jump down at the end. then turn right and enter the small room to find the green container with the Awaken Wine Worm inside.
6) Chapter 3: Pagoda Realm: Mani Wheel
From the Pagoda Realm: Mani Wheel shrine, go in the direction shown in the picture below and jump down to the lower level at the end. Then continue ahead and turn left at the location shown in the second picture below. There you will find the barrel containing the Awaken Wine Worm.
7) Chapter 3: Valley of Ecstasy – Longevity Road
From the Valley of Ecstasy: Longevity Road shrine, go in the direction shown in the picture below. Soon you will reach a wooden arch. Go through the arch and you will see another wooden arch in front. On the right side of this arch, you will see a barrel as shown in the second picture below. Break the barrel to get the Awaken Wine Worm.
8) Chapter 4: Village of Lanxi – Estate of the Zhu
Climb up the stairs in front of the Village of Lanxi: Estate of the Zhu Shrine and then go left. Now enter the hut on the right side as shown in the picture below to find the barrel containing the Awaken Wine Worm.
9) Chapter 4: Temple of Yellow Flowers – Temple Entrance
Climb up the stairs in front of the Temple of Yellow Flowers: Temple Entrance shrine. After reaching the top, go straight and then enter the hut on the right side as shown in the picture below. This will take you to the courtyard. Now go out through the door on the left side. There you will find the barrel containing the Awaken Wine Worm.
10) Chapter 4: Purple Cloud Mountain – Petalfall Hamlet
Go to Petalfall Hamlet Shrine in Chapter 4 secret area, Purple Cloud Mountain. Climb up the stairs near the shrine. Then enter the ruined structure ahead as shown in the picture below and immediately turn left and climb up the narrow staircase there. Take the narrow stairs to the top to find the barrel containing the Awaken Wine Worm.
11) Chapter 5: Furnace Valley – Rakshasa Palace
Travel to Furnace Valley: Rakshasa palace shrine in Chapter 5. Climb up the stairs near the shrine and then turn right and cross the bridge as shown in the picture below. Go down the stairs after the bridge. Then proceed ahead, climb up the small flight of stairs, and go left as shown in the second picture below.
Go to the edge of the platform ahead. Then cross the lava to reach the building on the other side as shown in the pictures below. Enter the building and there you will find the barrel containing the Awaken Wine Worm.
12) Chapter 5: Bishui Cave – Corridor of Fire and Ice
Go to the Corridor of Fire and Ice Shrine in Chapter 5 secret area, Bishui Cave. Go down the stairs in front of the shrine and then go through the small gap in the wall straight ahead as shown in the picture below. Climb up the stairs there and the go left as shown in the second picture below to find the barrel containing the Awaken Wine Worm.
