Bounties in Ghost of Yotei are short side quests where your goal is to track down and eliminate a specific enemy target. You can pick up these Bounties from the bounty boards located at inns in each region. This guide will walk you through how to complete the Black Powder Ippei Bounty in Ghost of Yotei, released on October 2, 2025.
Starting Location
This bounty is available after completing the bounty “Muneji the Bone Crusher”.
You can start the Smiling Yoshitomo Bounty by visiting the Bounty Board at Old Inn / Yotei Shadow Inn in the Yotei Grasslands area. Interact with the board to see the list of available targets in the region, and select the Smiling Yoshitomo Bounty.
Where to find Black Powder Ippei in Ghost of Yotei
The Black Powder Ippei bounty is located near the Watchtower at Windy Meadow in the Yotei Grasslands area.
When you arrive at the watchtower, you might notice some NPCs hiding behind some boxes. (Optional: Talk to the NPCs)
To find the bounty, look toward the south side of the Hilltop Watchtower to notice bursts of fire and smoke rising into the sky. This seems to be cannon fire from that direction. Follow the path of the explosions across the grassy slopes, and you’ll find Black Powder Ippei standing on a nearby hill, firing a cannon.
Defeating Black Powder Ippei rewards you with Black Powder Ippei’s Mask and 750 Coins.
