How to open the Shelter Time-Lock Safe
To open the safe, you need to use the computer to set the right date and time. If you choose correctly, the safe will stay unlocked starting from that time.
Step 1: Check the Date in Blue Prince
To see what day it is, open your inventory or map and look at the right side of the screen. In the image below, the day is 06.
Day 1 of the game starts on November 7. To find out what day you’re on, open your inventory or map and look at the right side of the screen. Then, count the days from November 7 to figure out the current date. For example:
Day 6 = November 12
Step 2: Check the Time in Blue Prince
You can check the time in Blue Prince by looking at any analog clock. Clocks can be found in places like the Entrance Hall, or you can see the current time in-game by looking at the clock in front of the manor. The clock is showing 11:00.
Step 3: Set Date and Time
Set the time to 01:00 and the date to November 12. Time should be at least 1 hour ahead of the current time.
The Blue Prince Time Lock Safe should open right at 1:00 pm.
Boudoir Safe Code
To open the Boudoir Safe in Blue Prince, you need a special code. If you look closely at the top of the safe, you’ll see a Christmas postcard. This postcard contains the date “12/25”. That date is the code for the safe. The numbers 12 and 25 are used to unlock the safe. Put them together and you get the code: 1225.
Study Safe Code
To find the code, look at the chessboard on the table. You’ll notice a black King positioned on D8. Which can be translated into code as December 8. Enter 1-2-0-8 into the safe to unlock it and claim your reward.
Office Safe Code
Head to the office inside the mansion and open the drawer. Turn the dial inside the drawer to reveal a hidden safe.
Now, to unlock the safe, read the note to reveal the list of book titles. Most of these book titles are crossed out, except for one: March of the Counts. The clue for the code is March and Count. “March” refers to the third month, which gives you the number 03.
Then, if you look around the room, you’ll notice there are three busts of Counts. Putting those two clues together—03 for March and 03 for the three Counts—you get the safe code: 0303.
Drafting Studio Safe Code
Step 1: Bring a Magnifying Glass
Before anything else, make sure you have a Magnifying Glass equipped. You’ll need it to closely inspect an important part of the environment to get the code for the safe.
Step 2: Look for Clues
Use the Magnifying Glass to inspect the garden image featured on the calendar. Take a close look and count the number of small gates shown in the garden. There are 8 small gates in total.
Step 3: Safe Code Format
The safe requires a 4-digit code, and it’s built from two parts:
- The first two digits are the number of small gates you found in the garden image — in this case, 08.
- The second two digits are the month displayed on the calendar, which is November, or 11.
Step 4: Input the Code
Enter 0811 into the safe to unlock it.
Drawing Room Safe Code
To find the code for the Drawing Room safe, look closely at the pictures on the walls. Watch how the people in the drawings are moving. There are two types of people shown — a woman wearing a dress and a man holding an umbrella. If you count all the pictures, you’ll find 4 with the woman and 15 with the man. Put those numbers together to get the safe code: 0-4-1-5.
Behind the Red Door Lock Code
You’ll come across a locked gate with four dials. The first three dials show letters, and the last one is stuck on the number 8. To figure out the code, try thinking of a month that fits into the first three-letter spaces. The only month that works is May. So, the correct code to unlock the gate is M-A-Y-8.
