This article guides the reader on completing the side quest “Man in Stone” in Chapter 2 of Black Myth Wukong, released on 20 August 2024.
Get Stone Essence (from Mother of Stones)
To find the Stone Essence, go to the Rockrest Flat checkpoint in Chapter 2’s Fright Cliff area.
Enter the cave directly in front of the Rockrest Flat checkpoint. Once inside, immediately follow the path going up on the right. Continue upward along the path with blue flames until you see sunlight.
Keep walking along the left wall until you find a stone with three blue colors – this is the Mother of Stones. Keep hitting it to destroy it and obtain the Stone Essence.
Give Stone Essence to Man in Stone
Location: Fright Cliff > Squall Hideout
Head to the right from the Squall Hideout checkpoint. Then, go left and follow along the wall.
You will see a wooden structure in the distance. Before reaching it, you’ll come across a small ravine. Drop down into the ravine, and at the very end of the path, you’ll find a strange rock formation—this is the Man-In-Stone.
Beat the Man in Stone
Give the Stone Essence to the Man-in-Stone that you obtained earlier from Mother Of Stones.
Get Azure Dust Spell
After you deliver the Stone Essence, the Man-In-Stone bursts out of the ground and attacks you. Defeat him and interact with him again to receive the Azure Dust Spell.
