This article will guide you on how to complete the quest “Xu Dog” in Chapter 2 of Black Myth: Wukong, released on 20 August 2024.
Xu Dog 1st Encounter
To find Xu Dog, go to the Village Entrance shrine in Sandgate Village. Drop down into the ravine and follow the path into a cave-like area.
Xu Dog will be hiding behind a rock near the stairs, as shown in the image below.
Xu Dog will ask you to defeat a frog boss named Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw, who has swallowed his recipes. Move forward and go down the wooden structure to find Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw in a shallow pond.
After defeating Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw, you’ll receive a recipe. Bring it back to Xu Dog.
Reach Cellar
Fast travel to the Temple Entrance Shrine in Crouching Tiger Temple.
Enter the Crouching Tiger Temple and interact with the mini statue in front of the Headless Statue and Blood Pond.
This will open a hatch to the cellar in the middle of the blood pond.
Drop down into the cellar and follow the path to the right until you emerge into an open area.
As you go down the hill, you’ll see the Cellar Shrine on your right.
Xu Dog 2nd Encounter
Proceed to the right to find Xu Dog hiding near a furnace. Approach the furnace, and Xu Dog will come out of hiding. Talk to him and this will unlock Xu Dog’s medical store, completing the quest.
