Chapter 5: Lethal Devotion
This guide shows how to complete Chapter 5: Lethal Devotion in Dead Space Remake. The guide only shows the main mission objectives and does not include the collectibles. Please note that you will be able to access some areas only from the story progression. So, if you are unable to open some doors then don’t fret as you will be able to access those areas later.

Return to the Medical Deck
After the mission starts, take the elevator back to the Main Atrium. Then make your way back to the Bridge Tram Station. Use the locator and it will guide you to the location. Take the tram to the Bridge.
Locate the Source of the Broadcast
Hop off the tram and make your way to the Security Station. From there, proceed to Imaging Diagnostics Wing. Use the lift there to go up. Your path ahead will be blocked by tentacles. You will have to shoot three boils on the tentacles to clear the path. The first boil is straight ahead as you enter the area. Then go left and look down to see the second boil. The third boil is inside the blocked door right above the previous one as shown in the picture below. This will clear the path.
Now proceed ahead and go through the door going towards Zero-G Therapy. Then turn right and proceed towards Cryogenics Labs. Take the elevator down and then enter the Chemical Lab at the location shown in the picture below. Interact with the console there to shut off the Broadcast. This will start a cutscene.
Escape the Creature
After the cutscene, a monster will appear. After you defeat it, it will respawn. Run out through the door towards Imaging Diagnostics Wing. From there, make your way toward the Security Station.
Lift the Lockdown
From the Security Station, go to Ishimura Clinic. Then turn right and enter the emergency room. In this room, you will find a power cell in front of the socket as shown in the picture below. Insert the power cell into the socket. This will power up ER Hallway A door.
Go through the door and make your way toward the Intensive Care Unit. Then go to Dr. C. Mercer’s room as shown in the picture below. Interact with the console there to lift the lockdown.
Acquire the Liquid Nitrogen
Make your way back to the Emergency Room. As you reach there, the objective will get canceled and a new objective will start.
Stop the Poison Gas
Exit Ishimura Clinic and make your way back to the Security Station. There you can stop the poison gas by interacting with the console in the corner at the location shown in the picture below.
Acquire the Liquid Nitrogen
Go to Imaging Diagnostics Wing. After reaching there, make your way to the Cryogenics Lab. There you will find the Liquid Nitrogen at the location shown in the picture below.
At this point, you will be attacked by a monster. Lure it inside the tube where you got the liquid nitrogen and shoot its legs as shown in the picture below. Then use Statis on the monster to slow it down. Now quickly run to Cryogenics Control Room and activate Cryo Freeze to destroy the creature. This will complete the mission.
