Cliffbottom Catacombs Complete Guide
This guide shows how to traverse through the Cliffbottom Catacombs dungeon and all the secret items that you can get there. Cliffbottom Catacombs is in Liurnia at the location marked on the map below.
How to reach Cliffbottom Catacombs
To reach Cliffbottom Catacombs entrance, leave the path and go southeast on the cliffside as shown in the pictures below.
You will find the entrance to the Cliffbottom Catacombs on the cliff wall. See the pictures below for the exact location of the entrance.
Get Scythe
After entering the catacomb, take the elevator down. Then proceed ahead in a linear path to reach the door to the boss lair. The door will be closed now. Take the path to the right.
You will reach a stair in a little while. Go down the stair and proceed straight ahead. Be cautious, as there will be a trap in the passageway.
Proceed in a linear path. Then climb up the stairs and go right as shown in the picture below.
Climb another set of stairs and proceed straight ahead. Here you will have another trap in the path, so be cautious. Continue ahead and you will reach a room with a corpse inside, with a Scythe on it as shown below. Entering the room will trigger a trap that will fire three sets of arrows. Use a shield or dodge the arrows quickly. Then collect the Scythe.
Open the Boss Door
After collecting Scythe, get out of the room and jump down. Then jump further down from the left side as shown in the picture below.
After jumping down, take the passageway on the right side. In the next room, you will find a trap. You can use the trap to kill the giant coming from the opposite passageway as shown in the picture below.
Proceed ahead and climb up the ladder as shown below.
Then turn right and go to the lever in front of the statue as shown below. Pull the lever to open the boss door.
Erdtree Burial Watchdog Boss
After pulling the lever, jump down. Then trace your path back to the boss door, which will be open now. Go inside the door and defeat Erdtree Burial Watchdog Boss to get Kiaden Mercenary Ashes. Open the chest inside the boss area to get Deathroot.
