The Abyss Without Balance main quest in Crimson Desert stands out for its unique mechanics and puzzle-solving elements. This guide breaks down each step clearly on how to use special abilities, such as Axiom Force, in the game Crimson Desert.
As the quest begins, head through the Skybridge Gate and enter the heart of the Abyss.
How to Jump Across Platforms
Once you are inside the heart of the Abyss, you’ll jump across a series of floating platforms that require precise movement. Regular jumps are too short and risky, even when running.
To safely cross, you need to use the precision jump mechanic:
- First, put away your weapon, then hold LB to activate precision jump.
- Press X (Xbox) or Square (PlayStation) to jump to the marked blue circle
Remove the Wall Blocking the Floor
After the platform section, you’ll reach a puzzle where a wall blocks your path. To solve it, use the Axiom Force ability on the blue cube by pushing down and holding the left stick to aim, then releasing it to grapple the object.
Once you have control of the cube, you can push, pull, or rotate it and place it onto the light beam pedestal on the upper level. When positioned correctly, the environment will change.
Next, you’ll need to create the Abyss Cell using a new ability called the Force Bomb. Drop down to the lower level. Then, start by grappling the floating object with Axiom Force, then rotate and position it correctly on the wall.
Once it’s in place, approach the floating object and charge the Force Bomb by holding down the right stick, then release to activate the mechanism. This will fit the object into the wall. This step powers up the central structure needed to proceed.
Activate the Abyss Power Supply
Finally, climb the large circular structure and position yourself at its center. Jump and hang on to the structure. Then, charge your Force Bomb again and release it toward the center of the structure. This will complete the puzzle and activate the Abyss power supply. This will end the quest.
