The Bared Fang quest in Crimson Desert takes place in Chapter 7, and the main objective is to eavesdrop on villagers in Beighen and use that information during an investigation. The tricky part is knowing exactly where to stand, when to eavesdrop, and which dialogue choices to pick. Here’s a detailed walkthrough to help you complete the mission without getting stuck.
How to Eavesdrop on Beighen Villagers
To start, head to the marked location in Beighen. You must stand in a very specific spot for the eavesdropping prompt to appear. Do not try climbing rooftops or hiding behind objects, as that will not work.
You need to stand behind the wooden wall of the building, right next to the stacked wooden slabs. This is the exact spot where the eavesdropping prompt will trigger. Refer to the image below for the correct location. Once you are in position, press L1 or LB on your controller to begin eavesdropping, which will reveal the first clue needed for the investigation.
Truth or Lie Choice Explained
After gathering the first clue, go to the nearby guard and start a conversation. During this interaction, you will get a choice between telling the truth or a lie.
Always choose Lie.
If you pick the truth, the guard will end the conversation, and you’ll have to start again. Choosing a lie allows the investigation to continue and unlocks further dialogue options.
After selecting lie, choose the next available conversation option, then exit the conversation to trigger the next objective.
Finding the Mysterious Faction
You’ll now get a new quest marker. Follow it to another location in Beighen and eavesdrop again. This second conversation gives you a key clue about a mysterious faction. You need to enter the building and stand near the far end wall to start the eavesdrop.
After listening, return to the guard and repeat the process:
- Choose Lie again
- Select the correct faction: Blue Fangs.
This will unlock the next investigation hint and move the quest forward.
Final Eavesdropping Step
For the last part, head behind a nearby building. The exact spot should be marked on your mini-map if the quest is active. Go behind the building and stand near the wall between wooden boxes and wooden slabs.
Stand in the correct position and eavesdrop on the final conversation. This reveals the last important clue tied to the faction’s leader.
