Fragments of Darkness is a main quest in Crimson Desert that takes you to the Sanctum of Mortification. In this quest, you’ll need to examine a stone tablet and restore the power at the Sanctum of Mortification. This walkthrough will take you through both objectives of the quest “Fragments of Darkness” in Crimson Desert.
Find the Two Reactor Core Parts
Before anything else, take out all the enemies in the area. You’ll need to collect two parts to get the generator running again. The first one is in the north of the sanctum. Head inside the side of the main building on the bottom floor, and you’ll find the dome of the broken pylon. Use Axiom Force to grab it, then to store it in the Kuku Pot.
For the second part, head back to the north of the sanctum, just outside the ruins where you picked up the first pylon part. You’ll need to clear out some vines that are blocking the way. Pull out your sword and reflect light skill onto the vines. This will set them on fire, and they’ll burn away completely. Once the path is clear, you’ll see a cube sitting behind the iron bars. Grab it and store it in the Kuku Pot the same way you did before.
Place the Parts on the Generator
Now head back to the generator. Open your inventory and look for the Kuku Pot. Open it up, and you’ll find both parts inside. Withdraw both items so they drop back into the world.
With the reactor core (dome) in hand, use Axiom Force to carry it over to the generator. You’ll notice the other poles already have a dome on top, but one is missing. Place the reactor core dome on top of that empty pole. Then climb up to the top of the dome. Jump on it and press R3 to slam down with your Force Charge and seal it into place.
There’s a slot on that side that’s still empty. Use Axiom force to place the cube in the open slot and seal it with the Force Charge. Once both sides are locked in, the power will be restored, and the quest will be complete.
