Crimson Desert: Missing Companion Walkthrough

The Missing Companion is a story quest in Crimson Desert that focuses on tracking down a lost animal and dealing with nearby bandits. In this guide, you’ll learn how to start the quest and complete all the objectives for the quest.

Speak with the crying child

Head to the marked location on your map and look for a crying child. If the child is not there, switch to the correct time, usually daytime, to make the child appear. Once the child named Willian (who is crying) is present, speak with him to begin the quest.

Gather information on the missing sheep from the children

Head south from Bloomwood Ranch and stay on the path. Keep going until you reach a three-way intersection to the southwest. When you get there, you will see the same children who were with the crying boy, William, earlier. Walk up to them and talk to them. They will tell you about some bandits nearby.\

Gather information on the missing sheep from the men

After the conversation, head south toward a nearby crossroad where you’ll find two NPCs standing together. Speak with them to learn about the bandits located across the river, which will guide you to your next objective.

Find Wooly, the sheep

Follow the marker south toward the other side of the river. Progress toward the marker to reach the top. There, you’ll find a heavily guarded bandit camp.

Defeat all the bandits, and after clearing the area, head to the pen inside the camp where you’ll find a sheep, Woolly. Use the interact button to pick him up.

Return to Willian

Once you have Woolly, you can carry him while riding your horse, which makes the return much faster.  William will not be in his original spot and can instead be found near a tree. Walk up to him to trigger a cutscene where you return Woolly to end the quest.
