Seed of Unease is the 39th main mission in Crimson Desert, where the player needs to track down the Reed Devil. This walkthrough will guide you step by step through each objective of the quest to help you locate the Reed Devil and examine the altar.
Track the Devil of the Reed Field
As the quest begins, take out your lantern and shine it on to find the glowing yellow line. This line will help you track the Reed Devil. Once you see the yellow path, start following it. It will lead you away from the hut and toward a canyon to the southwest.
As you walk along the yellow line, you will enter the canyon. Here, many enemies will appear on the path. You do not need to fight all of them. If you want, you can simply run past them and keep following the trail. The Reed Devil will show up from time to time. When it appears, try to hit it a few times before it disappears again, then continue moving.
The path inside the canyon is easy to follow. It will take you forward between rocks and slowly lead you uphill. Keep your lantern on so you don’t lose the yellow line. After climbing for a bit, you will come out into a large open field.
Examine the altar
In the middle of this field, you will find a strange altar. Walk up to the altar and interact with it to investigate. This will start a cutscene that shows important story details about the Reed Devil.
