Crimson Desert: The Flames of Greed Walkthrough

The Flames of Greed is the 26th main mission in Crimson Desert, where you need to help a crying nun. This article will walk you through all the objectives of the quest in  Crimson Desert.

Speak with the nun asking for help

As the quest begins, head southeast from Hernand City and follow the marker on your map. You’ll come across a crying nun standing by the roadside. Approach her and start a conversation. During the dialogue, she will explain the situation and ask for your help in rescuing a healer.

Go to the healer’s house

After agreeing to help her, open your map to locate the area of the next objective. It is located south of the Nas River, near Unicorn Cliff. Start heading toward that location. As you get close, a cutscene will trigger, showing a group of NPCs trying to save a man trapped inside a burning house.

Rescue the person in danger

Now, your task is to save this man. You’ll be given a time limit of about 120 seconds to rescue him. To enter the hut, use Nature’s Grasp to lift and remove the two large logs blocking the doorway. Once the path is clear, you can move inside and continue the rescue.

Once the entrance is cleared, head inside the burning building. Even after removing the logs, the inside of the building is still filled with fire and smoke, making it harder to move around. If you act quickly and have enough time, you can reduce the danger by using the water jars placed outside the building.

To do this, first unequip your weapons. Then, the only interaction prompt will appear. Then look at the water jars, pick them up, and carry them inside. You can throw the jars onto the flames to help put them out.

Using around 4 to 5 water jars will suppress the fire enough to make it safer to reach Marten. You’ll find Marten lying on the floor to the right. Go up to him and press X to pick him up, then quickly carry him back outside to safety.

Rescuing him will complete The Flames of Greed quest in Crimson Desert.
