This Guide will show you how to complete the objective “Destroy the Kraken Prototype” in Mission 5 – Festung Guernsey of the game Sniper Elite 5 (2022).
There are multiple options available to complete this part. The game will initially direct you to “Find the scuttle code” and “Start a chain reaction” but to destroy the Kraken Prototype you have to work on another option which is to “Overload the Pressure Valves”. This secret is available once you collect the classified document – Cut Costs Cut Lives
Classified Document – Cut Costs Cost Lives
This is marked as the main objective (yellow circle on the map). Head inside the bunker located on the western part of the map.
As you enter the bunker, go down the ladder in the first room and start following the long hallway until you reach a bigger open area with a submarine downstairs.
Rather than walking down into the submarine, turn left and enter another small hallway through the last door.
You will enter the engine room after passing through the corridor, which has Nazi flags hanging from the ceiling.
Head left and enter the room at the end and collect the classified document from the table. According to this paper, overloading the engine room should bring the entire facility down.
Overload the Pressure Valves (0/2)
Your next goal is to overload the engine room’s two pressure valves. One of the pressure valves is in the adjacent room, while another is down a staircase in the same engine room.
Open the Engine Room Vents
Next, interact with the control panel in the same engine room to open the Vents of the Engine Room.
Drop Satchel Charger Down Vent
Step outside the secret bunker. To escape the underground bunker, use the door on the right (near the stairs) in the Engine Room.
Satchel Charger may be obtained from one of the Armory rooms found below the vent in the neighboring trench. Finally, drop the Satchel Charger into the vent to destroy the Kraken Prototype.
