In this guide, you’ll find the exact locations of all secrets, gold, toys, and codex entries hidden throughout Chapter 10: The Forsaken Plains in the game Doom: The Dark Ages.
9 Gold (9/230) + Secret 1
Advance through the chapter until you reach the Rocket Launcher, as indicated on the map below. From that location, head left and use your grapple to reach the ledge with the hanging green corpse to collect 3 Gold. Then, grapple to another higher ledge on the left to find more Gold and Secert 1.
56 Gold (65/230) + Secret 2 + Purple Key
Head to the location marked on the map. Then, go to the left side of the tower with the Secret Key locked behind a cage.
Grapple up to the green body on the left, then follow the path inside by following green shards to reach and break the orange chain.
Continue to explore the floor to reach the gate you just opened to collect 6 Gold, then climb the wall nearby to find a crate containing 50 Gold on the upper floor.
Finally, go to another nearby room to find a hole in the floor. Drop down to collect the Secret Key.
Secret 3 + Gore Nest 1 (Exterminator Challenge) + Ruby 1
After obtaining the Secret Key, head to the red combat zone marked on the map below. Use the key to unlock the gate and enter the hidden area.
Once inside, destroy the Gore Nest and defeat the enemies that appear. Finally, retrieve the Ruby from the statue near the gate.
Secret 4 + Toy (Cyberdemon)
From the Ruby, head west toward the ledge and look down to spot a jump pad. Carefully drop onto the jump pad, and it will launch you onto the floating platform where you can collect the Toy.
Secret 5 + 6 Gold (71/230)
Follow the path just north of the previous collectible and go through the doorway to find some Gold.
At the end of the path, break the chain and head inside. Look for a climbable wall on the left and use it to reach Secret 5.
Demonic Essence – Health
Automatically available after defeating the Cyberdemon miniboss.
Secret 6 + 12 Gold (83/230) + Ruby 2
After destroying the first Hell Cannon, return inside the building and use the jump pad to reach the upper level. Smash through the wall to exit outside.
Then, follow the path southeast to reach a gate requiring the Secret Key. Unlock it and head inside to find both Gold and a Ruby.
50 Gold (133/230)
Go to the location east of Northwest Battlefield as marked on the map. Use the jump pad to reach the ledge across the gap to find a crate with 50 Gold.
Secret 7 + 11 Gold (144/230) + Codex 1 (Prince Ahzrak)
Go to the location marked on the map and go up the stairs to find a Secret Key Gate. Go inside to find Gold and Codex 1.
Secret 8
Head east of the Sentinel Shrine and drop down into the underground tunnel to discover a secret containing a Life Sigil.
26 Gold (170/230)
Head southeast of the Sentinel Shrine to find 23 Gold on the ground, along with 3 more on the ledge to the right.
Secret 9 + Ruby 3 + 10 Gold (180/230) + Codex 2 (The Forsaken Plains)
Head to the Sentinel Shrine (East) and proceed in the southern direction. Jump onto the moving spike platform, then leap to the ledge on the right to find a Ruby.
Return back and enter the area behind the spike trap to collect Gold and a Code
Demonic Essence – Armor
Automatically available after defeating the Leader near the second Hell Cannon.
Secret 10 + Gore Nest 2 + Demonic Essence – Ammo
After destroying the second Hell Cannon, climb to the next red combat area, destroy the Gore Nest, and defeat all demons. Defeating the Revenant miniboss grants the Demonic Essence automatically.
Weapon Skin
Go back to where the Hell Cannon was. Take the small path on the left to locate the skin waiting.
Wraithstone
Complete the main story to get the Atlan Core. Then, head south to find the Wraithstone after collecting it.
50 Gold (230/230)
A chest of 50 Gold can be found at the marked location. Go to the location marked on the map and climb up the slope. Head left and drop down, then follow the path through the archway to reach the gold chest.
