Activate Downtown Electrical Substation

This guide shows how to activate the Downtown Electrical Substation for the “A Place to Call Home” main quest in Dying Light 2.

How to get inside the Downtown Electrical Substation

Downtown Electrical Substation is at the location marker in the picture below. The entrance to the substation will be locked. You will have to enter the substation through the broken window above the main entrance.

Go to the left side of the building and climb on the white structure. Walk over this structure and then jump to the platform shown in the picture below. Then climb on the yellow pile above this platform.

Walk on the yellow pipe and then jump down on the platform shown in the picture below. Then climb on the yellow pipe near this platform. After that, jump on the platform in front of the broken window and enter the substation.

Connect the cables inside the substation

After entering the building, go to the opposite side on the same floor. Here you will find the green terminal ‘2’. Pull the cable from the terminal and go out through the door on the left side of the terminal as shown in the picture below.

Then use the rope to jump to the platform on the other side and plug the cable into the red terminal ‘2’ as shown in the picture below. You need to take this path, as the cable is not long enough to go through any other path.

Green terminal ‘1’ is on the bottom floor. Pull the cable from green terminal ‘1’ and then jump over the steel blockage to reach the red terminal ‘1’ as shown in the pictures below. You must follow this path, as the cable is not long enough to go through any other path.

After that jump down through the elevator shaft near the red terminal ‘3’ to reach the basement. In the basement, you will find the green terminal ‘3’ as shown below. Pull the cable from the terminal and climb up using the elevator shaft. Plug the cable into red terminal ‘3’.

With all the 3 cables plugged in, the elevator will be activated. Then use the elevator to go to the control room and complete the quest.
