Silent Hill 2: Eastern South Vale Walkthrough

This guide shows the walkthrough of the Eastern South Vale area in the Silent Hill 2 game, which was released on 6th October 2024. The guide only shows the main walkthrough of the area without showing all the collectible items in the area.

1) Get Map of the East Side of South Vale

At the start of the level, collect the Map of the East Side of South Wales from the board at the location shown in the pictures below.

2) Get a Broken Vinyl Record from Neely’s Bar

Progress in the area and reach Neely’s Bar at the location shown in the picture below. Enter the bar and interact with the Jukebox as shown in the second picture below. This will remove the cloth covering it, revealing the internal broken parts. You will also receive a Broken Vinyl Record. You will find a Grand Market Keypad nearby. 3) Get a Broken Vinyl Record & Vinyl Glue from Groovy Music

Go to the Groovy Music at the location shown in the picture below. Enter the shop and defeat the enemies there. Then break the glass window in the room and enter the next room. Collect the Broken Vinyl Record & Vinyl Glue from the table there as shown in the second picture below. Now combine the two Broken Vinyl Records using the Vinyl Glue to get Glued Up Vinyl Record.

4) Get the Jukebox Button from Saul Street Apartment

Go to the Saul Street Apartment at the location shown in the picture below. Enter the building and you will see the building map on the board on the right wall. Next to the board, you will see a cabinet blocking the door. Move the cabinet to clear the path. Then go inside and get to the room on the right side. Pick up the key there hanging from the wall as shown in the second picture below.

Now use the stairs in the building to reach the first floor. Use the key there to enter Room Number 5 as shown in the picture below. Enter the room and go right. Then squeeze through the hole in the wall to reach the next room. Then squeeze through another hole in the wall and go out through the window.

Use the external emergency staircase to climb up to the second floor. Then jump through the window to enter the second floor. Proceed inside to reach the bathroom. Interact with the hole in the wall there as shown in the picture below to get the Jukebox Button. Now you can exit the building.

5) Get Neely’s Bar Coin from Texan Cafe

Go to the Texan Cafe at the location shown in the picture below. Enter the cafe and interact with the register behind the counter as shown in the second picture below to get Neely’s Bar Coin.

6) Play Music in the Jukebox

Go back to the Jukebox in Neely’s Bar and repair the broken internal parts by following the procedure I will explain ahead. Rotate the green rotating handle (Marked ‘1’ in the picture below) to the left side. Then attach the arm (Marked ‘2’) to the green rotating handle. Now rotate the combination of the handle ‘1’ and the arm ‘2’ clockwise. Then rotate the capacitor (Marked ‘3’) so that it goes down, clearing the path for the vinyl player arm to freely rotate.

Rotate the Vinyl player arm in the counterclockwise direction so that the tray comes out as shown in the picture below. Place the Glued Up Vinyl Record in the tray. Then insert the Jukebox Button ‘2’, and then insert Neely’s Bar Coin. Now play the C2 music (Standard Difficulty) as shown in the second picture below. The music that you need to play may change based on the difficulty level of the game. Simply play the music based on the location of the vinyl. On the left side of the vinyl trays, you will see a number written on a color. For standard difficulty, the vinyl tray has ‘2’ written in blue. So, you need to play C(Blue)2. After you have played the correct music, you will get Neely’s Bar Key.

7) Get the Wood Side Apartment Key

Use the Neely’s Bar Key to open the door next to the counter. Go inside and move the cart there underneath the hole as shown in the picture below. Climb up through the hole, and exit the building from the back door.

After exiting the building, go right and proceed straight ahead until you reach a green door. Go through the green door to reach the location shown in the picture below. Interact with the jacket there next to the green car as shown in the second picture below to get the Wood Side Apartment Key.
