This guide shows how to complete the “Esoteric Secrets of the Elders” Side Quest in chapter 11 in the Corel Region of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth game, released on 29th February 2024.

Starting Location
Head to the Chocobo Sage’s Manor in the southeast corner of the Nibel region. Speak with Billy (NPC) who is cleaning the floor to start the quest. He will ask for the favour to bring the lost Chocobo to his master Chocobo Sage.
Capture the Chocobo Selena
The location of the Chocobo Selena is marked on the map below. To catch Chocobo Selena you need to throw bait to lure it near you.
First, head up the cliff and pick up food.
Throw the fruit from the cliff as bait to lure the Blue Chocobo.
Here, you need to quickly direct her to cross through the area with spiky flowers and vegetables that inflate and deflate at regular intervals.
Players need to be extra careful while making the Chocobo cross the area. She can withstand three hits from these spiky flowers before running away.
Guide her to the lush grass on the left side of the cliff, then approach her carefully and mount her.
Report back to the Chocobo Sage
Head back to the Manor and report your progress. He will now ask you to get Chocograss
Deliver Chocograss
Chocograss can be found floating high above the water in the southwestern part of the Nibel region. Collect 30 of these Chocograss.
Complete the Final Trial
Finally, participate in Zoom de Chocobo which is a three-lap Chocobo Race where you race against Chocobo Sage.
